This night we present you two artists: Marta Arpini and Wolf Vanwymeersch! (Dutch below!)

Marta Arpini is a singer-songwriter from Italy who lives in Amsterdam. Dribbling between jazz and dreamy indie pop, she is slowly but surely conquering the hearts of Dutch music lovers. She does this in one of her many appearances: from jazz-pop quintet Forest Light and indie rock band tiigre to her collabo with producer Radio Trapani. In 2019, she released her debut album Forest Light, which earned her an Edison Jazz/World nomination. In the summer of 2021, a new EP is planned for which Arpini collaborates with Portuguese guitarist Gonçalo Neto. Wolf Vanwymeersch took his first musical steps with Waldorf and learned to walk with The Van Jets, and he still flies and falls with Elefant. Now he's traveling alone. Vanwymeersch has been writing his own songs all his life, but since the lockdown, the time was right to release them and play them live. Wolf, who grew up with The Beatles, metal and Cohen, prefers not to think in pigeonholes, but in moods. His melodies are catchy and the song structures portray an unusual musical brain. As the name suggests, the EP 'Songs Of Light And Shade' contains melancholic but hopeful music and lyrics. Understand is the uptempo 'almost upbeat' opener, Queen Of Mire a trip-hop groove with exotic guitars and moody vocals. Friendly Is Better is a little light in the dark. Fall From Grace is a purging kraut piece. 'Not To' was the first Wolf single but now closes the EP.

In 2019 brengt ze haar debuutalbum Forest Light uit waarmee ze een Edison Jazz/World nominatie in de wacht sleept. In de zomer van 2021 staat er een nieuwe EP op de planning waarvoor Arpini samenwerkt met de Portugese gitarist Gonçalo Neto. Wolf Vanwymeersch zette zijn eerste muzikale stappen bij Waldorf en leerde lopen bij The Van Jets, en hij vliegt en valt nog steeds met Elefant. Nu gaat hij alleen op reis. Vanwymeersch schrijft zijn hele leven al zijn eigen nummers, maar sinds de lockdown was de tijd rijp om ze uit te brengen en live te spelen
