The Milk speelt contemporary soul, met een knipoog naar de 70's. Van dromerig en sensueel tot sassy en funky brengt dit duo zowel eigen werk als onverwachte covers. Geïnjecteerd met popelementen zoals Moonchild en Nouvelle Vague, geïnspireerd door de vertelkracht van Erykah Badu. Maar gevormd door zowel punk als soul is The Milk sprankelend, maar nooit te gepolijst.

Susan Gemser is een modern-folk zangeres uit Arnhem met een liefde voor de kleinkunst. Tekstueel levert ze gedachtenspinsels die elke week een andere lading kunnen hebben. Met haar warme, krachtige stem en haar fijne gitaarspel laat ze je volledig wegdromen in de puurheid van haar gevoelens. In januari dit jaar bracht ze haar debuutsingle 'Scherven' uit, een liedje over de onwetendheid en het gemis dat komt kijken bij een relatiebreuk.

In January this year she released her debut single 'Scherven', a song about the ignorance and loss that comes with a breakup.

Quiet is the New Loud! is een intieme concertavond voor liefhebbers van subtiele, akoestische muziek. De rustige sfeer van de bblthk vormt de perfecte plek om met volle aandacht te luisteren naar singer-songwriters en bands.

Deze reeks bestaat al sinds 2011 en heeft inmiddels een vaste plek in Wageningen. Wat de avonden bijzonder maakt, is de aandachtige sfeer: het publiek luistert in stilte en geeft alle ruimte aan de muziek.
