FRÉ

🇳🇱 FRÉ heeft idealen: ze maakt zich zorgen over de toekomst van de planeet en komt op voor gelijke rechten.

Daar maakt ze zich in haar dagelijks leven sterk voor, en dat hoor je logischerwijs ook terug in haar muziek. FRÉ is een moderne liedjesschrijver die tegen de popmuziek aanschuurt zoals muzikale inspiratiebronnen Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift en Bon Iver.

In 2022 heeft FRÉ de Nederlandse afdeling van Music Declares Emergency opgezet, een internationale duurzaamheidsbeweging waar oa Arcade Fire, Bon Iver en Billie Eilish zich bij hebben aangesloten. Het afgelopen jaar hostte ze panels over MDE op onder meer No Man's Land, ADE en ESNS en besteedde ook de Popronde er aandacht aan op hun Eindfeest.

🇬🇧 FRÉ her ideals: she is worried about the future of our planet and stands up for equal rights. FRÉ is a modern singer-songwriter playing pop music and finds inspiration from artists like Billie Eilish, Taylor Swift and Bon Iver.

In 2022, FRÉ founded the Dutch version of Music Declares Emergency (MDE), an international sustainability movement which artists like Arcade Fire, Bon Iver and Billie Eilish have joined. In the previous year, she hosted panels concerning MDE at No Man’s Land, ADE and ESNS to name a few, and it was mentioned during the final party at Popronde.

Mips

🇳🇱 Als jong persoon in het midden van het leven, is niet altijd makkelijk jezelf te vinden. Mips zoekt de stilte, om deze te vullen met de melancholische klanken van emotie, frustratie en verwondering die weerspiegelen wat haar 's nachts wakker houdt. Afgeleid door de kleine dingen die ze om zich heen ziet en hoort, vindt ze metaforen om de pracht en ellende van het leven te omarmen. Verlangend naar eindeloosheid waarin ze kan verdwalen en ontsnappen aan de dagelijkse sleur.

🇬🇧 As a young individual in the midst of life, it is everything but easy to find who you are. Mips is in search for silence, to fill it with the melancholic sounds of emotion, frustration and wonder which reflect what keeps her up at night. Distracted by the tiny things she sees and hears around her, she finds metaphors to embrace the beauty and misery of life. Ever-longing for endlessness in which she can lose herself and escape the drag of daily life.
