ENResilience is a work that also reflects a chaotic system. Emphasizing that a chaotic system, contrary to what is popularly understood by “chaos”, is not a system in a state of disorder, or random, is a system governed by laws non-linear deterministic, but whose main characteristic is the loss of predictability as it evolves (KELLERT, 1994). The evolution here can be thought of as a sequence of states or points over time that constitutes a trajectory or orbit. Sensitivity to initial conditions means that each point in a chaotic system is arbitrarily approximated by other points that have significantly different future paths or trajectories. That way, an arbitrarily small difference or disturbance at a given point of the current trajectory may lead to a significantly different future trajectory.

PTResiliência é uma obra que reflete também um sistema caótico. Ressaltando que um sistema caótico, ao contrário do que se entende por “caos” popularmente, não é um sistema em estado de desordem, ou aleatório, é um sistema governado por leis determinísticas não lineares, mas cuja principal característica é a perda de previsibilidade à medida que evolui (KELLERT, 1994). A evolução aqui pode ser pensada como uma sequência de estados ou pontos ao longo do tempo que constitui uma trajetória ou órbita. A sensibilidade às condições iniciais significa que cada ponto em um sistema caótico é, arbitrariamente, aproximado por outros pontos que têm caminhos ou trajetórias futuras significativamente diferentes. Dessa forma, uma diferença ou perturbação arbitrariamente pequena em um determinado ponto da trajetória atual pode conduzir a uma trajetória futura significativamente diferente.

The human hand is so present in the creative process in the visual arts that we often do not question the relationships between the human body and painting. “Pintando com a Voz” (Painting with Voice) is an interactive art installation that allows the creation of landscape painting without the use of the hands. In it, the paintings are conducted by the voice or by other sounds produced by the interactor that are captured by the installation. The materiality of the touch between the brush and the hand is replaced by a diffuse and sonorous form of control over the brush. In a very simple way, landscapes are generated from the technique of aerial perspective that are obtained by the gradual variation of colours and the saturation of the brush on the canvas giving the impression of relief and depth. A mão humana está tão presente no processo criativo nas artes visuais que muitas vezes não questionamos as relações entre o corpo humano e a pintura. Pintando com a Voz é uma instalação de arte interativa que permite a criação de pintura de paisagens sem o uso das mãos. Nela, as pinturas são conduzidas pela voz ou por outros sons produzidos pelo interator que são captados pela instalação. A materialidade do toque entre o pincel e a mão é substituída por uma forma difusa e sonora de controle sobre o pincel. De uma forma muito simples, paisagens são geradas a partir da técnica de perspectiva aérea que são obtidas pela variação gradual das cores e da saturação do pincel na tela dando assim a impressão de relevos e profundidade.
